Marilyn Shimmin represents and is the owner and Secretary-Treasurer of L. A. Diesel Parts, Inc., 320 Lakme Avenue, Wilmington, CA 90748. Ms. Shimmin also serves as Secretary of the WIPAC and has been an original member of the advisory committee since 1974. She is highly regarded by her colleagues as a valuable resource and senior member of the WIPAC

LA Diesel Parts has been located in the Project Area since 1964 and is a supplier of diesel engine parts and related engine room equipment for marine and industrial facilities worldwide. LA Diesel expanded in 1987 with the construction of a 9,000 s.f. concrete block building with associated parking on 1.75 acres of land. The company is a major supplier of filters and filtration equipment and employs four persons.
